PAUL STAINTON: Plans to redevelop the Moy’s End of the London Road football stadium were approved this week, despite a number of councillors asking for the decision to be delayed. Residents had voiced concerns about the potential pollution that could be created by that big chimney that will be installed on the ground. But councillors voted in favour of the plans by 6 votes to 4. Councillor Nigel North chaired the meeting, and voted in favour. He joins us now. Morning Nigel.

ANDY HARPER: Let’s just talk about an issue that was raised this morning on our Cambridgeshire Breakfast Show. It was all about how people get to work across Cambridgeshire, and the debate over the Guided Bus. Because the Guided Bus is now a month into full service. After Cambridgeshire Breakfast, Andy Harper was joined in the studio by a panel of local people with a knowledge of Cambridgeshire’s transport issues, to discuss what needs to be done now, and in the future, so the county can cope with further growth on our roads, and avoid gridlock. Mark Rix, who runs a cleaning company and has to drive around Cambridge every day, feels the Guided Bus has made a bit of a difference, but wants more to be done to ease congestion. The zebra mussel costs Anglian Water hundreds of thousands of pounds in repairs by clogging pipes. But now a Cambridgeshire company has developed a pellet known as a toxic malteser to deal with it. Mike Aitken on Being Lucky

ANDY BURROWS: The new ITV show Red or Black was watched by millions over the weekend. 1000 people keep betting on either red or black, until there is only one person left. Then that person has a chance to win £1 million, simply by choosing red or black on a giant roulette wheel. Two nights in, and two fellows have done it so far. And it’s certainly prompted some debate in our house, because of the number of people who were quite close to winning who would then go on to say, actually, I’m not a very lucky person. Are people who think they are lucky generally more successful in life? I put this to Dr Mike Aitkin earlier on today. The deadline to leave the land at Dale Farm in Essex, where hundreds live without planning permission, has passed. Bailiffs can now remove them. Swimming the Thames
