PAUL: Good news if you’re a Peterborian. The Halfords Cycle Tour is coming again to Peterborough this year. You may remember the race made it’s debut last year in the city. It was a massive success. Over five thousand people turned up in the city centre to see people going whizzing around our streets, even though I oiled the corner near Woolworths. Ben Price is from City Racing and will be in the race on the fifteenth of June. Good morning Ben.

PAUL: There’s about two months to go until the Peterborough Breakfast Show wins the city’s Dragon Boat Festival twenty ten. Of course we’ll be out the front there with our flag, and somebody banging the drum. We’ve been training especially hard for the event, (Have we?), bench pressing actual dragons and paddling along the Nene. Along with the spectacle of the race, a special fly-past has been arranged with the Battle of Britain Memorial Flight. STAINTON: Good morning. It’s nine o’clock. Welcome to a specially extended Peterborough Breakfast Show, the big election debate for Peterborough between now and ten for the Peterborough Parliamentary seat, between the three main parties. For Conservatives Stewart Jackson, Ed Murphy for Labour, and also Nick Sandford for the Liberal Democrats. Good morning gentlemen. How are you? Are you alright?
ALL: Good morning.
STAINTON: We’ll start with Stewart, the former Peterborough MP, of course, no longer. He’s got to bid for it again. Stewart MP for Peterborough since two thousand and five, winning with a majority of two thousand seven hundred and forty votes, a former Lloyds Bank manager before becoming an MP. Worked with Business Link in London, also a councillor in Ealing for eight years. Stewart is currently Chairman of the All England Party Group on Pakistan. He was appointed as the Shadow Minister for Communities and Local Government, and had front bench responsibility. In his spare time he enjoys reading biographies, travel, architecture, history, swimming and bungee jumping. He’s married to Sarah, and has a daughter Isabel. Good morning Stewart Jackson.

STAINTON: Now a group of migrants living in a makeshift camp in Peterborough will be forced off the site if they haven’t left by mid-day today. Six immigrants have been living rough near Potters Way for about six months. Two weeks ago they were told to leave by the UK Border Agency and the City Council.
