The Leader of the Liberal Democat group on Peterborough City Council believes that once the honeymoon is over the fountains in Cathedral Square could prove to be a millstone around the ratepayers’ necks. The former Head of the Peterborough New Town Development Corporation thinks that ambitious plans to redesign large parts of Peterborough city centre must be put on hold for the duration of the current economic crisis.
